CCD's home is in the 180-year-old DACOR Bacon House (also occasionally called the Ringgold-Carroll House). Built in 1825 by Tench Ringgold, a friend of President James Monroe and United States Marshal for the District of Columbia, the House had been home to several members of Congress and the Supreme Court, the former Governor of Maryland, and a number of others when it was purchased by the Bacon family in 1925. Upon Mrs. Bacon's death in 1980, the house was given to the Bacon House Foundation, which later merged with the DACOR (Diplomatic and Consular Officers, Retired) Education and Welfare Foundation. Today, the DACOR-Bacon House has been adapted for the use of organizations, like CCD, that seek to advance international understanding and friendship.

The DACOR Bacon House is at: 1801 F Street NW, in Washington, DC.
