Under grants from the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), the Department of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL), and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), CCD convened a series of Regional Roundtables on Democracy in 2006 and 2007 to develop regional networks of civil society in the five major regions of the world (Americas, Europe, Middle East/North Africa, Sub-Saharan African and Asia).
