Sándor Demján, Senior Advisor

Sándor Demján is an investor and philanthropist, of Budapest, Hungary, who is currently the Chairman of the TriGránit Development Corporation, the President of Polus Investments Limited, and the Acting President of the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ). Mr. Demján is the founder of several successful development corporations including, the SKÁLA Department Store Chain and SKÁLA-COOP, the Magyar Hitel Bank (Hungarian Credit Bank), the Central European Development Corporation, and the International Management Center – where he currently serves as co-chairman with George Soros. Mr. Demján has also completed some remarkable real estate projects (retail, city centers, offices, hotels, etc.); and is widely regarded to be the wealthiest Hungarian citizen.

Mr. Demján has won numerous professional awards and accolades from the Hungarian government for his work in the development field and for his entrepreneurship. Mr. Demján’s awards include The State of Hungary Award (1980), Man of the Year in Hungary (1986), The Most Influential Businessman of the Decade (2000), Entrepreneur of The Year (2005) from Ernst and Young, and the Order of Saint Duke Alexander Nevsky (2008).
