Richard Martin Byakuleka

Richard Martin Byakuleka is a Ugandan Foreign Service Officer presently serving as First Secretary in the Ugandan Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. In addition to his diplomatic and government expertise, he is also a part time lecturer at the Institute of African Studies and Research in Cairo, teaching political science and African international relations. He himself conducted his education worldwide, at the American University in Cairo, the Pakistan Foreign Academy, Makerere University in Kampala. He a member of the African Association of Political Science, based in South Africa, as well as the Union of African Diplomats based in Cairo, for which he serves as Secretary General. He also was a founding member of the Youth Alliance for Development and Cooperation in Uganda, and served as Secretary General 1992 to 1994. Mr. Byakuleka is also an avid Scrabble player and won the Silver Medal in TaeKwonDo at the All Africa games in 1992 in Cairo.
