Carried out consulting assignments drawing on 40 years’ experience in export finance, including credit, guarantee and insurance operations. Specializing in pre-shipment working capital financing, short-term export credit insurance, as well as large projects. Concentrated in Africa, Latin America, India and countries of the former Soviet Union. Experienced in structuring financing packages and programs including equity, internally generated funds, concessional lenders, export credit agencies, commercial banks, multilateral development banks, exporters, foreign investors and others. Assignments have included establishing a pre-shipment working capital guarantee program for Turkey and Uganda, participating in designing short-term insurance policies for Turkey, and obtaining financing for projects in Ukraine that offer reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
