Mr. Dienami
joined the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
in 1991. Between 1992 and 1999 he studied at the Rivers State
University of Science and Technology and received a Diploma
in Petroleum Engineering Technology and a Bachelor of Technology
degree in Computer Engineering. He started the Mid Town Environmental
Pollution and Control Agency in 1999 which is now known as
the Committee for Human and Environmental Development. This
organization is aimed at tackling regional human and environmental
problems. He was elected Chairman of the National Union of
Petroleum and Natural Gas workers EPCL branch, NNPC in 1998.
He has attended several leadership courses/conferences in
Nigeria, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Dienami is a
Fellow of the 21st Century Trust (UK) , a member of international
organizations such as the Physicians for Human Rights, Oxfam
America, Humanitarian Practice Network. He is also the author
of a book titled " The Niger Delta Oil and Gas- Cooperating
for Mutual Gains.
