Erik Berglof

Mr. Berglof is the Director of the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) in Sweden and a professor at the Stockholm School of Economics. He is also the President of the Center for Economic and Financial Research in Moscow and the Programme Director for Institutions and Economic Performance, CEPR, in London. In the past he has served as a visiting research fellow at the World Bank, a research fellow in the Law and Economics program at Harvard Law School, and as an assistant professor at Stanford University and the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. From 1997-2000, Mr. Berglof directed the Russian-European Centre for Economic Policy in Moscow. He was a Fulbright scholar and received both his MA and PhD from the Stockholm School of Economics. He is an Associate Editor for the Review of Finance and the Journal of Comparative Economics, as well as serving on the Editorial Board of Economics of Transition.
