Georges Berthoin

Mr. Berthoin is currently retired in Paris. He was secretary to Jean Monnet in the 1940’s and 1950’s, and 1ater assumed the role as the European Community’s ambassador to London, where helped guide the United Kingdom into Common Market. In retirement, he was for a long time the Chairman of the European side of the Trilateral Commission. Mr Berthoin is an inveterate internationalist and an astute observer of both French and European politics.
