Goodman
Born
September 3, 1923, Professor Goodman attended Dartmouth College,
where he received his A.B., and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
He then went on to Columbia University for his M.A. and Ph.D.
He held a position at Brown University where he taught political
science from 1955-1987. He is currently Professor Emeritus
at Brown. Professor Goodman’s major publications include:
“The Soviet Design for a World State” (Columbia
University Press), “The Fate of the Atlantic Community”
(Praeger). He has also published numerous articles in scholarly
journals. Dr. Goodman received the Guggenheim Fellowship;
NATO Research Fellowship; is a member of: International Institute
for Strategic Studies, American Political Science Association,
American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies;
and an Academic Associate at the Atlantic Council of the United
States.
