Professor Axel Hadenius

Axel Hadenius is a Professor in the Government Department at Uppsala University, where he has been Head of the Department from 1996 to 1999 as well as a Member of the Faculty Board since 2002. He has received fellowships at Universities worldwide, including the University of California at Berkeley, Michigan State University, and the University of Melbourne. He is also involved in many Political Science Associations, including the Swedish PSA, Nordic PSA, Scandinavian PSA, and International PSA. Professor Hadenius has published extensive materials on Democracy and democratization, including how it relates to local governance, institutions, and development.
