John Leech
After practising civil engineering in the UK and India, John Leech had a long association with the Commonwealth Development Corporation, where he made a particular study of investment in Africa, South-East Asia and the Indian sub-continent. He was also instrumental in establishing a working group of European development financing institutions.
He is a senior member of a number of organisations specialising in international affairs, including the Federal Trust, a leading European research organisation, and of bodies involved in the Arts. He is the author of several books on NATO and other aspects of international security.
