Secretary Clinton Lauds Arab Spring at the 2011 NDI Democracy Awards Dinner

On November 7, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave the keynote address at the National Democratic Institute’s 2011 Democracy Awards Dinner. In her address, Secretary Clinton lauded the Arab Spring movements in the Middle East and North Africa and pledged that the US would work with the new Islamist governments to assist in creating lasting democratic systems in the region.
