Rep. Amory Houghton Jr. Joins CCD Board of Directors

CCD enthusiastically announces the addition of U.S. Representative Amory Houghton Jr. to our Board of Directors.  Mr. Houghton graciously accepted the offer of membership to CCD’s board in March 2007.  The following is Mr. Houghton’s biography from the United States Congress web site:

HOUGHTON, Amory, Jr., (grandson of Alanson Bigelow Houghton), a Representative from New York; born in Corning, Steuben County, N.Y., August 7, 1926; graduated from St. Paul’s School, Concord, N.H.; B.A., Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., 1950; M.B.A., Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Mass., 1952; United States Marine Corps, 1945-1946; business executive; elected as a Republican to the One Hundredth and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1987-January 3, 2005); not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Ninth Congress in 2004.

Mr. Houghton joins other recent additions to CCD’s Board of Directors such as Larry Diamond, Dieter Dettke, David Kilgour, Lynne Zusman, Robert LaGamma, Henry Nau, Johnny Young, John Sewell, Robert Pastor and Christopher Jones.
