CCD Board Members Paula Dobriansky and Mark Lagon Hold Videoconference with Aung San Suu Kyi

On November 30, the Council on Foreign Relations hosted an event called, “A Conversation with Aung San Suu Kyi,” in which the Burmese pro-democracy leader addressed attendees via videoconference and discussed the country’s transition to democracy and human rights. Presided over by CCD Board Member Paula Dobriansky, former Undersecretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs, the event was co-sponsored by the Washington Meetings Program and also by the Global Stake in Human Rights Roundtable Series, which is chaired by Georgetown Professor, CFR adjunct senior fellow, and CCD Board member, Mark Lagon.
