EU Parliament Issues Statement on Camp Ashraf

On November 23, Member of the European Parliament Struan Stevenson issued a press release on the ongoing crisis at Camp Ashraf in Iraq that called for Baroness Catherine Ashton, the European Union’s Foreign Policy chief, to intervene to prevent the forced relocation of the camp’s residents. Ambassador Jean De Ruyt, Ashton’s special representative on Camp Ashraf appeared in Brussels on November 22 to discuss the safety and security of the camp’s residents.
