Hungarian High Court Approves Democracy Transition Center: New Institution Set to Launch

Istvan Gyarmati, Director of the International Centre for Democratic Transition based in Budapest, announced on September 3rd that the Hungarian Supreme Court has registered the new Centre, which has begun operations with initial funding and office space provided by the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  To celebrate its opening, the Centre will be officially launched in Budapest on October 26. Among those attending the launch and scheduled to deliver an address is U.S. Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs, Paula Dobriansky.
