Carol
C. Adelman
Ms. Adelman
is President of a leadership and management training company
that organizes training seminars and workshops for Fortune
500 companies, the U.S. government, think tanks and business
schools. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute
where she conducts research and writes on international development
issues. Dr. Adelman is active in a number of foreign affairs
organizations serving as director and vice chairman of the
Atlantic Council and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
She has been Director of McManis International Services the
consulting arm of MMI Companies, a publicly traded healthcare
company. During the Reagan and Bush Administrations she served
as Assistant Administrator of the US Agency for International
Development where in addition to managing regional bureaus,
also oversaw programs to promote democracy and economic development.
Earlier in her professional career she served as a Foreign
Service officer for ten years managing development programs
in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Dr. Adelman’s writing
on a range of issues has appeared widely in newspapers and
scholarly journals.
